How much do you charge?
Our rates vary according to the type of work undertaken. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further, without obligation, and we will be able to provide you with a quotation.
How long will it take to be seen?
Our waiting times vary according to demand and the type of intervention required. For therapy sessions we are usually able to provide an initial consultation appointment within two weeks.
How long does treatment/therapy last?
There is no clear answer to this question as it will depend upon the problem and the type of help requested. The length of time for therapy will be discussed on an individual basis at initial assessment (first session); therapy sessions are usually held on a weekly basis.
Do you belong to a regulatory body?
Yes. Both of the partners are members of the British Psychological Society and have attained Chartered Status. The title of Chartered Clinical Psychologist is the public’s guarantee that the practitioner has completed all the necessary training in clinical psychology, their qualifications have been checked and they have agreed to be bound by the British Psychological Society’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Who oversees your work?
Supervision provides an opportunity for the monitoring and improvement of practice. Both of the partners receive regular supervision and participate in peer-based supervision with local clinical psychologists and other health-care professionals.
How can I be sure I am getting the latest, up-to-date help?
Clinical psychologists are committed to continued professional development; they are constantly up-dating their knowledge and skills as new evidence from research becomes available. Chartered Clinical Psychologists are required to keep an up-to-date log of training events that they have attended and their progress is monitored by the British Psychological Society.
