Therapeutic Groups « Back

A range of therapeutic groups are available from this practice. Examples of groups offered include:

  • Anger management
  • Stress management
  • Confidence building and self-esteem
Within our groups a range of therapeutic techniques are employed, including:
  • Mindfulness techniques
  • Compassionate mind training
  • Cognitive behavioural techniques
  • Imagery and visualisation
  • Relaxation
Group sessions typically run weekly for up to 10 weeks, in the evening for about 2 hours. Group sizes are kept small with between 10 and 15 people per group. Before attending a group, individuals are requested to attend a brief introductory session conducted on a one-to-one basis with one of the partners.

Referrals for group sessions are accepted from G.P.'s, other health professions and directly from individual clients. Groups are run on a demand basis so please contact us to discuss your requirements and to establish availability.
